In 2013, after 'Nobody Knows.' had been released earlier in the year; the artist had become restless to release new music and show a different side of himself to the listening public. The result was this record.
The goal was to create an alternative country record that had a timeless quality with unconventional song lyrics. For the most part, this goal was accomplished though some songs wander off into Boroque, Experimental and even Spoken word.
With a little help from his friends Matt DeWine of Pieholden Suite Sound in Chicago and Alex XXXCHANGE Epton of XL Records in New York;
The Artist created a curious collection of original songs based in timeless Americana traditions and madcap beatnik idiosyncracies.
The artist was inspired to make this record after hearing 'I, FLATHEAD' by fellow wierdo autuer Ry Cooder and 'SUGAR' by Leon Redbone.
